How to Play
«Never interrupt your enemy while he is doing a mistake,» — Sun Tzu, Art of War
Battlefield — the Board Setup
Before the game begins, you must deploy your units onto the friendly territory — which is the lower three rows of the game board.
Place your units one by one, taking the time to re-arrange them until you are satisfied with your strategic setup.
Once your final formation is ready for the battle, press the 'Confirm' button (as shown in the image) to lock in your deployment and start the game!
Objective of the Game
The main objective, the winning condition, is to capture the enemy flag—
—capturing the flag is the classic victory, and this occurs instantly when you attack the enemy flag and it surrenders. (Note: The enemy flag surrenders to any unit attacking it, even if your own flag is the attacker).
Flag Touchdown
There is a second, spectacular way to win—
—you achieve an immediate victory if you manage to trick the enemy and move your own flag across the entire board to the last row (the opponent's starting row) — so you perform the flag touchdown!
Unit Ranks and Special Forces
The game begins with two opposing armies, 25 units each. Your army composition includes a hierarchy of ranked pieces, from 5-star General down to Private, and several potent special units — they are Drones, Snipers, and Spies.
Ranked Units
For the Ranked Units: higher-ranked units capture lower-ranked units. The hierarchy starts with five Generals from 5-star down to 1-star General, where the 5-star Gen being the highest,
—followed by high officers (Colonel, Lt. Colonel, Major),
—then middle officers (Captain, 1st Lieutenant, 2nd Lieutenant, and Sergeant),
—and finally, three Privates.
The unique purpose of the sergeant is to hunt privates while the latter make a real threat to a special force unit — the Spy.
Tactical Commandos
The Spy and the Sniper are your two Assassin Special Forces, designed for high-value tactical elimination. Use them accordingly to dismantle the enemy's formation.
The Spy (x2) captures any ranked unit, but is uniquely vulnerable to the Private (x3). The Sniper (x2) can eliminate any unit on the board, including Generals, Spies, and Privates.
★ Strategic Force ★
The Drone (x5) is a crucial sacrificial unit as it can eliminate any enemy unit on the board without limitation neither exception, but it is also destroyed in the process.
You have a whole hive of Drones (x5) — enough to keep the game dynamic and fun! Use them strategically keeping in mind that wasting drones too early or ineffectively may severely complicate your stand-off against the enemy Snipers and other high-value targets.
Movement
This is a turn-based game: each player moves one of the units per turn. Any piece, a unit, without exception, moves one tile per turn, in any of the four cardinal directions: forward (up), backward (down), left, or right. No diagonal moves are allowed.
Note: any unit can move and all units move by the same rule — one tile at a time. This forms a fair ground for deceiving the opponent. For example, a 'fighting flag' is when your Flag behaves like an attacking force, aiming to execute a game-winning touchdown.
The Take-off
The deployment is complete, your strategy is locked in, and the battlefield is set. The enemy formation is hidden from your sight — the fog of war applies!
The opponent units shall be unveiling as you fight them. Engage thoughtfully disclosing not your most strategic pieces until it is time to sting. Snipers usually wait rather than rushing into the hottest mess. Drones are gold in the end-game. Good luck, General.
